Not that I was particularly desperate or in a hurry, but one of the first things that I learned from my then-future French husband was that, in France, when a young lady can make a good salade and mix it without spilling a leaf, only then is she ready to be married (a good wife). Presumably this vinaigrette works because we will soon be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary!
So instead of running after those wedding bouquets… Just mix
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
2 t. Dijon mustard
2 T. Sherry vinegar
6 T. Olive oil
Pour over any salad and make sure you don’t spill a leaf!
